Rafael Nur is a film and television editor based in Los Angeles, California. His most notable recent work includes editing the Amazon scripted television series BOSCH and BOSCH: LEGACY, the feature film SHALLOW WATER, as well as multiple documentary series, web series, and short films.
Rafael was born and raised in northern California, where he first discovered a passion for filmmaking through a documentary filmmaking program at his high school. He went on to receive his B.A. in Film Studies and English from Cornell University, and later his M.F.A. in Film Editing from the American Film Institute.
The short films that Rafael has edited have earned numerous awards and film festival selections, including the Student Emmy for Best Comedy at the 38th College Television Awards for DOLLAR KING, and an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival for BENNY GOT SHOT.
Rafael has also worked as an assistant editor on many scripted television series including Amazon's THE PERIPHERAL, Fox's 9-1-1, and Netflix's THE SOCIETY.
